Lecturer in Japanese Studies
The Department of Modern Languages invites applications for a three-year, renewable Lecturer position in Japanese Studies, beginning in January 2022. Lecturer appointments at Carnegie Mellon are special faculty appointments with the potential to ascend in rank to Senior and Principal Lecturer based on pedagogical excellence, participation in curricular development and section coordination, and contributions to the profession.  Preference will be given to candidates who have native speaker level proficiency in Japanese, expertise in student-centered instruction/assessment, cultural analysis, a PhD in an appropriate area of Japanese Studies, Language Education, or Applied Linguistics, and a record of outstanding teaching.  Experience with or interest in multimedia on-line course developme
