Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese
The University of Rochester Department of Modern Languages and Cultures invites applications for a 3-year visiting assistant professorship in Japanese literature and culture beginning in Fall 2024. We particularly welcome applications from scholars in the following fields: contemporary Japanese literary studies, early modern literary and cultural studies, and transnational and diasporic approaches to modern and contemporary Japanese literature and culture. The course load is 2/2 and includes courses for the Japanese major and minor as well as elective courses, and the successful candidate will be expected to assist with administrative and advising responsibilities.
