Visiting Assistant Professor in Modern East Asian History
The history department at Colby College seeks applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Modern East Asian History (1-year sabbatical replacement), with a preferred focus on gender and sexuality or race, beginning July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will teach four courses in total, including a survey of modern East Asian history. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring to the classroom experiences, identities, ideas, and ways of engaging that resonate with the increasingly diverse student body at Colby. We seek candidates with great potential to be innovative, effective, and inclusive teacher-scholars, who may be willing to make use of resources such as the Colby Museum of Art, Special Collections, and the Mule
