Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Japanese
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Wellesley College invites applications for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellowship. This two-year appointment is for a specialist in Japanese language, literature and/or culture, and will begin on July 1, 2023. The research field is open to all historical periods, but the ability to teach modern and/or contemporary topics is a requirement. The fellow will teach one course per semester for a total of four courses, and these may be existing curricular offerings, entirely new courses, or a combination of both. Particularly desirable are applicants who can cross-list courses with other departments or programs, including but not limited to Women’s and Gender Studies, Africana Studies, Comparative Literary
