Position DescriptionReporting to the Publications Director of the Asia Center's Publications Program, the Japan & Korea Editor will manage editing, design, typesetting, and production from the manuscript stage through bound books. Responsible for all aspects of the publication of 3-4 books a year and serves as the principal contact with the authors of these books throughout the production process. Writes catalog and other advertising copy for these books. Copyedits approximately 1-2 titles a year for organization, substance, accuracy, and style. Responsible for maintaining a pool of free-lance editors, proofreaders, graphic artists, and indexers adequate to the press's needs.
