Canada Research Chair II in Art History-History of South Asian Art, Architecture and Visual Culture
The Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory (AHVA) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, invites applications for a Canada Research Chair (CRC), Tier II specializing in the art history, architectural history, or visual culture of South Asia. This position is expected to be a full-time, tenure-track appointment made at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The anticipated start date of employment is as early as July 1, 2023. Applicants’ research interests may include any historical period and any geographic region in South Asia. The candidate will be well versed in the most advanced theoretical and methodological concerns of the field and have competency in the languages their specialization requires.
