The Department of East Asian Studies at Dickinson College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Chinese language. This is a one year position for the academic year of 2022-2023, with expectations to be on board in August 2022. The teaching load is six courses a year. Applicants should be prepared to teach Chinese at all levels. Prior experience in Chinese instruction at the university level is preferred, as is training in proficiency-oriented, task-based, and project-based teaching. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.
