The Art Department at Davidson College invites applicants for 2, one-year Visiting Assistant Professorships of Art History, specialties open. We seek dynamic colleagues who can offer undergraduate coursework to help us bridge art historical areas while we prepare for long-term hires. We invite scholars who might teach classes in a broad range of topics, including but not limited to the following: European 18th and 19th centuries; Asian art, particularly modern and contemporary; early modern European and renaissance; or classical Western art and architecture. Currently, we are not considering specialists of modern and contemporary American or European art.
