Visiting Assistant Professor of Asian Religions
Carleton College, Department of Religions seeks qualified candidates to fill a one-year visiting position in Asian Religions to begin on Sept. 1, 2022. A preference will be given to candidates in the field of East Asian Religions, but we are open to those whose research focuses on South Asian, Southeast Asian, Central Asian, Asian American, or transnational religions, as long as they demonstrate teaching competencies in East Asian Religions. Candidates should a) have experience in teaching, b) be skilled at relating both classical and contemporary materials to their various historical and cultural settings, and c) situate their work within the broader theoretical and methodological concerns of the field of religious studies.
