The Department of Religion at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick, N.J.) invites applications for the Alka Siddhartha Dalal Endowed Postdoctoral Fellowship in Jainism to begin Fall 2022. The fellowship is open to candidates who specialize in any subfield of Jain Studies, including but not limited to religion, history, philosophy, art, or literature. The postdoctoral fellow will be appointed to a two-year term with the possibility of an extension for a maximum of two additional years. During their appointment, the fellow will conduct research, participate in departmental activities, lead on-campus programs (e.g., an academic workshop in Jain Studies), and deliver public scholarly lectures in Jain Studies. The teaching load is 1/1 per year, with one course
