Assistant Professor in Sociology
The Sociology department at Davidson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor starting July 1, 2022. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the Sociology of Health. The regular teaching load for this position is 5 courses over 2 semesters, with 4 courses in the first year. New Sociology courses and potential contributions to Davidson College's interdisciplinary programs (including Public Health, Africana Studies, Asian Studies, Environmental Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Latin American Studies) will be viewed favorably. Candidates are expected to be highly committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. Experience teaching undergraduates is strongly preferred. Ph.D. in Sociology should be in hand
