Frequently Asked Questions by Employers

Do I have to be an AAS member to post a job?

No, membership is not required to post a job listing. Organizations may post listings, access their own listings, and browse resumes during the posting period for a fee. Institutional administrators of organizations who are AAS institutional members are availed up to 50% off job listing rates. To avail of the institutional membership discount, add your organization's membership number to your profile.

I had an account in the previous AAS Job Board, do I have to create a new account?

Yes, we apologize for the inconvenience but you are required to create a new employer account in the new AAS Career Center.

Is it free for AAS members to post a job?

Posting job openings on the AAS Career Center is a chargeable service. Please refer to Employer Pricing for rates. To promote the future of Asian Studies, posting internships is a complimentary service provided to all. AAS institutional member organizations avail a discount on job listing rates.

Once I post my ad, when will it appear online?

All listings are subject to approval. Listings are immediately posted once approved, however, only AAS members have access to view live job listings. For screenshots of your live job listing, please email jyoshikawa@asianstudies.org.

AAS reserves the right to edit and revise the listings to standard formatting. AAS will review only major changes with the employer before posting.
